Why isn't a screenshot enough?
A screenshot is made by the interested party, can be fabricated with any editor and proves neither the real date nor the integrity of the dialogue: the other side only has to challenge it to complicate your case. Here the conversation is recorded by an impartial third party while it happens, message by message and with timestamps, so any later alteration would be detectable on verification.
Legal framework
Certified conversations are produced as electronic documents admissible as evidence (eIDAS Regulation and articles 299 and 326 of the Spanish Civil Procedure Act), with the evidence sealed by two qualified trust service providers: Mensatek and the FNMT.

How much does certifying a conversation cost?

Does the recipient need anything special?
No: they chat from their usual WhatsApp, as with any business. Certification happens on our platform.
Are their replies certified too?
Yes, that is the whole point: the complete dialogue from both sides is recorded and sealed, including the recipient's replies and any files they send.
How is this different from producing screenshots?
A screenshot is generated by the interested party and is easy to challenge. Here the evidence is recorded by an impartial Trust Service Provider while the conversation happens, with timestamps and integrity verifiable by third parties.
